It’s the season for the Christmas light shows.
While parts of the Golden State won’t turn into a winter wonderland, Californians can still get in the holiday spirit by watching shows that will light up the night sky.

Illuminate SF Festival of Light (San Francisco)
return to the 10thth Year after year, San Francisco’s annual Holiday Light Show will feature 60 light installations by over 40 artists that will illuminate the city. The festival is available until January 30, 2023.
Redding Garden of Lights (Redding)
Redding’s Turtle Bay Exposition Park is transformed into nature-inspired Christmas lights. The walkthrough show is 10 acres long.
Tickets can be purchased on the website from $15. The holiday overlay is available until January 8, 2023.
Holidays at Filoli (Woodside)
The country estate is transformed into the epicenter of the holiday spirit with 20 miles worth of lights, according to Visit California. Tickets can be purchased on the website from $28 through January 8, 2023.
Sleepy Hollow Christmas Lights Extravaganza (Torrance)
For holiday fans who want to see as many Christmas lights as possible, the city of Torrance’s waterfront neighborhood is the place to be, reports Time Out.
Many houses in the neighborhood are adorned with several festive lights and decorations. The light displays are free to view, allowing families to drive through the residential streets or walk to see the displays until New Year’s Eve.
Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn (Inland Empire)
The inn is adorned with 4.5 million twinkling lights and accompanied by about 400 animated characters to celebrate the annual festival, Time Out reported.
This year, the event begins on Thanksgiving and ends on January 6, 2023.
Los Angeles Zoo Lights (Los Angeles)
The zoo features Christmas lights inspired by the animals that live there. This year they will present LA Zoo Lights: Animals Aglow, an updated version of their Christmas show through January 22, 2023.
Tickets can be purchased on the website from $32. Zoo members receive reduced admission.
Lightscape (San Diego)
The San Diego Botanical Gardens come alive at night with lights illuminating the 37-acre area.
Tickets can be purchased online until January 1st, 2023.
